Mechanical Project Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
This position is responsible for the design and overall project coordination of OEM equipment and systems, and will report directly to the Director of Engineering. The position requires the ability to manage multi-projects from beginning to end producing a high quality product within budget and time requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience
- BSME degree required
- 5 or more years of successful experience as a Design Engineer with strong background in industrial automated machinery systems.
- Experience in Project Management and on-site equipment commissioning is preferred.
- Must possess analytical/problem solving skills, knowledge of power transmissions, material selection, and design for manufacturability and design for assembly skills.
- Proficiency with Solidworks Design Software required.
- Generate and maintain engineering schedule for tasks; meet cost and schedule goals.
- Interface with Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Vendors and Customers.
- High integrity and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent PC skills, must be proficient in MS Office, Outlook and MS Project.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to travel.
- Must be a Team Player, always willing to help out and take the initiative to get things done.
- Ability to work independently and successfully represent the Company.
